ELDIOM, i.e. how to register a hazardous mixture
According to the provisions of the act of 25 February 2011 on chemical substances and their mixtures (Polish Journal of Laws of 2011 no. 63 item 322), to be exact according to the provisions of chapter 3 (15), all entities manufacturing and trading in hazardous mixtures in the Republic of Poland are obliged to provide information about these mixtures to the Inspector of Chemical Substances.
This information should be provided via data transmission in the form of an electronic document generated in the ELDIOM system (ELectronic Declaration of Information on Mixtures). This system is intended to inform the Inspector about hazardous mixtures. ELDIOM is to be found on one of the websites of the office for chemical substances:
The information about a mixture should be provided on the day it enters the market (if manufactured in Poland) or on the day it is imported to Poland.
In the case of updates, the information in the system should be amended within 14 days following the change.
The failure to observe this requirement is punishable by a fine.
What is important is that the data in the system is not available for other entities to see, while the scope of this data concurs with the information contained in the Safety Data Sheet.
