Spray polyurethane insulations continue to gain in popularity!
Terms like polyurethane, PUR in situ, PN-EN 14315-1:2013, differences in flammability and reaction to fire are only a handful of the nomenclature used in the insulation industry, according to the experts who took part in the latest two training courses held by Polychem Systems and Asteco Polska.
The meetings were moderated by process engineers and technical advisors who, thanks to their cooperation with contractors and their own technical knowledge, know all the ins and outs of insulation and the types of application systems. Polyurea systems for waterproofing applications were also discussed.
Key to the success of our training courses is always their comprehensiveness. Each meeting consisted of a theoretical section, during which information on polyurethanes and the conditions for their processing were discussed in an exhaustive and reliable manner. Yet another thoroughly discussed issue involved safe working practices while spraying. Examples of what happens when operators fail to observe them were presented as a cautionary tale. Representatives of Asteco presented their range of Graco units, necessary for processing systems.
Each meeting also included a practical section, during which everyone was able to single-handedly, irrespective of their previous experience, spray polyurethane foam and polyurea using the Polychem systems.
During the training courses, the most frequently asked questions were related to the impact of atmospheric conditions, especially temperature and humidity, on system processing. The selection of a polyurethane system for a specific application and machine configuration, suitable both for the ambient conditions and the applied technology, are key to proper delivery regardless of external factors.
We would like to thank everyone who participated in the meetings and wish them all the success in their work!
